FUN – Mooc : launching the platform 01/16/2014

Moocs, or ‘Massive open online courses’ have experienced significant growth on the Internet over the last few years. The idea is to make courses from different higher education institutions available for free.
In France, the FUN platform (which stands for France Université Numérique, or Digital University France), began offering its first MOOCs on 16 January.
By 17 January 2014, there were already 100,000 people signed up for these courses. Source:
