SCOAP3: launching a new model of scientific publishing

This summer, the consortium SCOAP3 (Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics) announced that it has collected about 90% of the $ 10 million needed to launch its new model of scientific publishing. It is for the consortium to finance the publication of articles in high-energy physics in journals with high impact factor. In return, these journals are in open access. The agreement will control the costs of publication and cost savings compared to the cost of subscriptions.

  1. Les revues sont en libre accès et, très important, les versions auteurs peut-être déposées en archive ouverte ! HAL-Inria, ArXiv, etc…
